Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Automation Tester with expertise in API Testing to join our team in Bangalore. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through automated testing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test scripts, identify and document defects, and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Certification in software testing or related field.
Knowledge of performance testing methodologies.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

API Test Automation:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API Testing.
- Utilize industry-standard testing tools and frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute automated tests and analyze test results.
Test Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with project teams to develop test plans and strategies.
- Define test objectives, scope, and success criteria.
- Ensure alignment of testing efforts with project requirements.
Defect Identification and Resolution:
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Work closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Provide clear and actionable defect reports.
Test Documentation:
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test scripts.
- Document test results and testing progress.
- Contribute to the development of test reports.
Test Environment Setup:
- Set up and configure test environments to facilitate testing activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
Regression Testing:
- Implement and maintain regression test suites to ensure software stability across releases.
- Identify opportunities for test automation within the regression testing process.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress and issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2 to 6 years of experience in software testing with a focus on API Testing.
Proven experience in API Test Automation using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
