Position: Automation Tester
Location: Pune, Mysuru, Bengaluru
Job Summary: Spruce InfoTech, Inc is currently seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our team for a Banker’s Cockpit project. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium and Java. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automation testing, Selenium, and Java, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. This is a contract-to-hire (C2H) role, with Spruce Infotech as the payroll company.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements and design comprehensive automated test scenarios and scripts for the Banker’s Cockpit project.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Java to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of the application.
- Perform regression testing and analyze test results to identify and report defects, ensuring proper documentation and tracking of issues.
- Continuously enhance and maintain the automation framework and test scripts for efficient and effective test coverage.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing detailed information and insights to facilitate bug fixes.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality and maintainability of the test automation codebase.
- Contribute to the overall testing strategy, test planning, and test case documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automation testing tools, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to improve the overall testing process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Adhere to the project timelines and deliverables as per the defined schedule.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
- Strong proficiency in Selenium and Java for developing and executing automated test scripts.
- Excellent understanding of automation testing concepts and best practices.
- Experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks and test scripts from scratch.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and software functionalities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements.
