Position: Automation Test Engineer
Location: Chennai
Notice Period: Immediate Joiners to a maximum of 30 days NP
Spruce InfoTech, Inc, a leading IT solutions and services company, is currently seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Chennai. As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in automation testing, with expertise in Java, Selenium, and additional skills in PLSQL and functional testing.
Responsibilities:
- Automation Testing: Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-leading automation tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design effective test scenarios and test cases. Continuously enhance and maintain the automation test suite to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Java and Selenium: Utilize your strong programming skills in Java to develop robust and maintainable test scripts. Implement object-oriented programming principles and design patterns to ensure scalable and reusable code. Leverage Selenium for web-based test automation, including test script development, test execution, and result analysis.
- Functional Testing: Perform functional testing activities to validate the application’s behavior and adherence to specified requirements. Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Execute test cases and document test results. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify and resolve defects.
- PLSQL: Utilize your knowledge of PLSQL to conduct database testing and validate data integrity. Create and execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with database administrators and developers to resolve any database-related issues.
- Test Framework Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation test frameworks. Design and implement modular, scalable, and maintainable frameworks to support efficient test script development and execution. Identify and incorporate best practices and industry standards in test automation.
- Test Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive test reports and documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Communicate test progress, results, and any potential risks to project stakeholders. Contribute to test closure activities, including test summary reports and lessons learned.
Requirements:
- Automation Testing: Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing, including experience with industry-leading automation tools and frameworks. Strong expertise in designing and implementing test scripts using Java and Selenium.
- Java Programming: Proficient in Core Java programming. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms. Experience in writing efficient, readable, and maintainable Java code for test automation.
- Selenium: Hands-on experience in Selenium automation, including test script development, execution, and result analysis. Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver and other Selenium components. Knowledge of Selenium Grid and cross-browser testing.
- PLSQL: Experience in working with PLSQL and conducting database testing. Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and verification. Understanding of database concepts and data integrity principles.
- Functional Testing: Experience in functional testing, including creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Familiarity with testing methodologies and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
