Position: Automation/API Test Engineer

Location: Mumbai

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is currently seeking highly skilled and experienced Automation/API Test Engineers to join our team. As an Automation/API Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing, specifically focusing on Java, Selenium, API automation testing, and BDD frameworks such as Rest Assured or Karate. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hybrid work environment in Mumbai and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions in the risk management domain.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive automated test suites and scripts using Java and Selenium, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
  2. Design and implement API automation test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of the application programming interfaces.
  3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand application requirements and functionality.
  4. Utilize BDD frameworks such as Rest Assured or Karate to develop and maintain test scenarios and test cases.
  5. Conduct root cause analysis of defects, identify trends, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues and improve software quality.
  6. Collaborate with the QA team to define and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  7. Continuously enhance and improve the automation testing process and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to automation and API testing and incorporate them into the testing process.
  9. Work in a hybrid work environment, collaborating with remote team members and participating in team meetings and discussions.
  10. Maintain documentation related to test cases, test results, and defects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience as an Automation/API Test Engineer or in a similar role.
  2. Strong experience in Java programming for developing automated test scripts.
  3. Proficiency in Selenium for web automation testing, including test script development and execution.
  4. Experience in API automation testing, with a strong understanding of RESTful APIs and hands-on experience with frameworks such as Rest Assured or Karate.
  5. Familiarity with BDD frameworks and experience in developing and maintaining test scenarios and test cases.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
