Position: HIL Test Engineer

As a HIL Test Engineer at SmartBytes Technology, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our automotive software solutions. With 3+ years of experience in HIL testing within the automotive industry, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing of automotive software solutions.
- Utilize dSpace and its tools, such as Control Desk, PHS based HIL, and Scalexio HiL, for automated and manual testing.
- Perform both functional and non-functional testing to ensure the proper functioning of automotive systems.
- Work with network management tools like Vector CANoe, Vehicle Spy, and communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Flexray, and Ethernet.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Create and execute test cases, document test results, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues discovered during testing, and provide detailed reports to the development team.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in HIL testing methodologies and tools.
- Contribute to the enhancement of testing processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HIL testing within the automotive industry.
- Strong expertise in HIL testing using dSpace and its tools like Control Desk, PHS based HIL, and Scalexio HiL.
- Familiarity with network management tools like Vector CANoe and Vehicle Spy.
- Working knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Flexray, and Ethernet.
- Experience in both automated and manual testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech/BE) or a master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or MSC.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting test results.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional team.
