Position: Test Engineer

Wipro, a leading global IT services company, is currently hiring for the position of Test Engineer. We are looking for candidates with 6 to 8 years of experience in QA, including 3 to 4 years of experience in automation testing. The role requires proficiency in any open-source automation tool/framework, such as Selenium, Cucumber with Java, or Python. Working knowledge in API testing, specifically SOAP UI and REST Assured, is desired. The candidate should be a self-learner, ready to acquire new skills and take ownership of tasks. Candidate Requirement:
- Experience in QA: The ideal candidate should have 6 to 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on software testing. Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test planning, and test execution.
- Automation Experience: Possess 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in automation testing. Familiarity with any open-source automation tool/framework, such as Selenium, Cucumber with Java, or Python. Ability to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts.
- API Testing: Working knowledge of API testing is desired. Experience with tools like SOAP UI and REST Assured would be an added advantage. Ability to validate the functionality and performance of APIs.
- Self-Learner and Ownership: Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new skills and technologies. Proactively acquire knowledge and stay updated with industry trends. Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them independently.
- Location: The position is based in Pune.
- Individual Contributor: Ability to work as an individual contributor and drive end-to-end testing activities independently. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Work Location: The work location for this position is Yerwada, Pune.
- Work from Office Mandate: The candidate should be aligned with the current mandate of working from the office for 3 days a week.
