Test Lead with Public Sector Experience | Dublin
Job description:
Sogeti Ireland are looking for a Test Lead with 7+ years’ experience in testing across SDLC/STLC model, public sector platforms and complex architectures. The candidates should have experience of working within public sector domains and testing teams, 3 + years’ experience of leading testing teams for successful deliveries, experience of one or more testing methodologies and exposure to different software development lifecycles including Agile and Waterfall.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Testing strategy [including Non-Functional Test] & approach for the Program delivery across public sectors.
- Responsible for the creation of a high-level Test Plan
- People management practices in line with Company/client’s standards
- Participate in regular meetings with senior stakeholders to communicate accomplishments, plans and issues as well as any risks to the project’s progress and Continuous Improvements
- Responsible for creating standard Test artefacts, including writing and executing test cases.
- Requirement to access unmasked data.
- Test Reporting (incl. experience of representing the Test Team in status meetings)
Requirements:
- A third level qualification in computing, engineering or science with significant computing content
- 7 Plus Years Testing experience with 3 Plus in lead role
- ISTQB Foundation qualification needed
- Experience with implementing Best practices onto Testing projects
- Knowledge of tools for test management like ALM, JIRA or Azure Dev ops
- Experienced in Estimations, Test Approach, handling team, end to end STLC
- Full understanding of mapping requirements to tests (Traceability)
- Excellent understanding of Test Metrics and their application
- Proven experience in managing triage/defect meetings
- Experience of tracking Test Progress throughout projects and ability to report on same to project Stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience of Test Infrastructure and its relevance to test projects
- Ability to act as a mentor to junior test team members
- Experience of using Test Management and Issue Management systems
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
