Mainframe Tester | Dublin
Job description
Sogeti Ireland are looking for a Mainframe tester with 2+ years’ experience in testing across different STLC models, platforms and architectures. The candidates should have experience of working within mainframe testing teams, 2 years’ experience of batch jobs, mainframe commands and best practices, experience of one or more testing methodologies and exposure to different software development lifecycles including Agile and Waterfall.

Key Responsibilities
- Review mainframe requirements/user stories, functional design specifications and project documentation.
- Identify, create and prioritise Test cases for mainframe testing
- Define and prepare test data and jobs in mainframe.
- Well versed with mainframe testing commands and best practices
- Execute test criteria and interpret results.
- Use of Test management and Issue tracking tools e.g. JIRA, Zephyr, ALM.
- Peer review Test cases/scripts from other team members.
- Support business users during UAT testing.
- Report test status to Test Lead/Manager
- Testing of API Web Services, Mobile Testing in iOS and Android, Databases and SQL, reports and Batch jobs etc.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2-year experience as a Functional Tester
- Proven experience in Mainframe testing on projects
- ISTQB Foundation Tester certification or equivalent
- Good communication skills
