Position: Test Engineer
Location: Bengaluru
Job Summary: Sandvine is seeking a skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, design test plans, execute test cases, and report defects. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans.
- Design and develop test cases and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute test cases and record test results using appropriate test management tools.
- Identify and report defects, track their resolution, and verify fixes.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure the overall quality of software releases.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of test automation frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and reproduce issues.
- Participate in the analysis and review of requirements and design documents to ensure testability.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing.
- Provide accurate and timely status reports on test progress and product quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience in testing web-based applications, including functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Good knowledge of SQL and experience in database testing.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
