Position: QA Engineer
Location: Flexible with European time zone
MINDREAMERS is currently seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in the SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) role and possesses strong automation testing skills. The ideal candidate should have intermediate knowledge of ANSI SQL, hands-on experience with Hadoop/HIVE and pyspark or spark with scala in the QA area, and expertise in testing data quality beyond functional requirements. Additionally, proficiency in Python in integrated environments like Azure Databricks, and a good understanding of Azure/AWS/GCP tech stacks is required. Familiarity with data quality monitoring libraries such as Great Expectations, Deequ, whylogs, PyTest, or similar tools is preferred. Knowledge of ETL jobs functional behavior and experience with monitoring solutions like Application Insights (Azure) or CloudWatch (AWS) is desired. Prior experience in the Manufacturing domain and ISTQB certification are considered advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Perform automation testing using various tools and frameworks, not limited to Selenium or Cucumber, with a focus on Java language.
- Utilize ANSI SQL extensively for data analysis and testing purposes.
- Work with Hadoop/HIVE and pyspark or spark with scala for QA tasks.
- Conduct thorough data quality testing, going beyond functional requirements.
- Leverage Python in integrated environments like Azure Databricks or similar distributions.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Azure/AWS/GCP tech stacks and work effectively on Azure ecosystems.
- Utilize data quality monitoring libraries like Great Expectations, Deequ, whylogs, PyTest, or similar tools in the present role.
- Define and implement metrics for data quality tests, considering the functional behavior of ETL jobs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or Glue for data integration and transformation is desired.
- Work with monitoring solutions like Application Insights (Azure) or CloudWatch (AWS) to track and analyze system performance.
- Take full ownership of assigned tasks and work independently to deliver high-quality results.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the team and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in the SDET role or similar QA engineering positions.
- Proficiency in automation testing with a focus on Java language.
- Intermediate knowledge of ANSI SQL and experience using it extensively in day-to-day tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Hadoop/HIVE and pyspark or spark with scala in the QA area.
- Strong skills in testing data quality beyond functional requirements.
- Experience with Python in integrated environments like Azure Databricks or similar distributions.
- Good understanding of Azure/AWS/GCP tech stacks and the ability to work on Azure ecosystems.
- Familiarity with data quality monitoring libraries such as Great Expectations, Deequ, whylogs, PyTest, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of services like Azure Data Factory or Glue for data integration and transformation.
- Ability to work with monitoring solutions like Application Insights (Azure) or CloudWatch (AWS).
- Prior experience in the Manufacturing domain is a plus.
- ISTQB certification and Azure certifications are considered advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with DataBand is preferred.
