Position: Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Syncron India, Bangalore (Primary)
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days

Job Summary: As a Senior Quality Engineer at Syncron India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products through automated testing. Your responsibilities will include developing, running, and maintaining automated tests, implementing and maintaining user acceptance tests, and upgrading customers to the latest version of the product. Your expertise in test automation tools, scripting, Java, and AWS services will be key in delivering high-quality upgrades and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automated Test Development: Develop, run, and maintain automated tests, mainly focusing on web tests, against test plans and schedules.
- Product Upgrades: Upgrade customers to the latest version of the product according to predefined schedules.
- Standardization and Automation: Identify opportunities for standardization and automation of upgrade and deployment procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of performed upgrades and validate the successful execution of automated tests.
- User Acceptance Testing: Implement and maintain user acceptance automated tests to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Test Automation Tools: Utilize test automation tools, such as Selenium, for efficient and reliable test execution.
- Scripting Experience: Employ scripting with tools like shell and Python to enhance testing capabilities.
- AWS Familiarity: Familiarity with common AWS services will be advantageous in working with cloud-based solutions.
- Java for Test Automation: Working knowledge of Java for automated test creation, using TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
- Version Control and CI/CD: Familiarity with GIT and preferably Jenkins for version control and continuous integration.
- SQL Database Queries: Good working knowledge of writing SQL DB queries for data validation and verification.
- Communication Skills: Possess good interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with teams.
- Problem-Solving and Logical Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving and logical skills to address testing challenges effectively.
- Quick Learning: Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly to adapt to evolving testing requirements.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
- Collaboration: Collaborate across product teams and other departments to resolve issues, ensure service coverage, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Risk Assessments: Partner with Product Management to provide risk assessments for improved quality assurance.
- Quality-Oriented Approach: Promote a quality-oriented approach across the company to enhance overall product excellence.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in software testing.
- Experience in test automation and automation testing tools, such as Selenium.
- Proficiency in scripting with tools like shell and Python.
- Familiarity with common AWS services is a big plus.
- Working knowledge of Java for automated test creation, using TestNG or JUnit.
- Familiarity with GIT and preferably Jenkins for version control and continuous integration.
- Good working knowledge of writing SQL DB queries for data validation.
- Good interpersonal communication, both written and verbal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and logical skills.
