Position Overview:
Paynearby Technologies is currently seeking a Quality Engineer with a strong background in programming, DevOps, and test automation. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in languages such as Core Java, JavaScript, and Python, along with experience in DevOps practices including tools like Jenkins and cloud platforms like AWS. The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products through the development and execution of robust testing methodologies and automated test scripts.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and quality assurance professionals to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Execute both manual and automated tests, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with the development team to facilitate their resolution.
- Perform continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) activities using tools like Jenkins and implement DevOps practices to streamline software delivery processes.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of the testing framework, identifying opportunities for test automation and process improvement.
- Work with development teams to analyze test results, track defects, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document testing requirements, test cases, and test plans.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to quality assurance, test automation, and DevOps.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge to help improve the overall quality of the team’s work.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to coding standards, and ensure adherence to quality guidelines.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress and identify potential risks or issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, software testing, and test automation.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Core Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development tools.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD tools like Jenkins and cloud platforms like AWS.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
- Familiarity with performance testing, security testing, and other specialized testing domains is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
