Job Description: As a Quality Assurance (Q/A) Engineer at Snakescript Solutions LLP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution. Your expertise in quality assurance methodologies and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify the functionality and performance of software applications.
- Execute manual and automated tests, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure their timely resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide valuable input during the development cycle.
- Perform thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality assurance.
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of quality standards and processes within the organization.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful project delivery.
- Provide regular status reports and communicate any critical issues or risks to project stakeholders.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely and accurate completion.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Quality Assurance (Q/A) Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Familiarity with test management tools, such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in web application testing, mobile application testing, or API testing is a plus.
