Position: Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Kochi, Kerala, India (Remote)
FlexM Private Limited, a leading technology company based in Kochi, Kerala, India, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position that requires working in the US-Canada timings and availability for night shifts, including weekends. As a Quality Assurance Engineer at FlexM, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Execute test cases and report defects, ensuring that all issues are properly documented, tracked, and resolved.
- Perform both manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that defects are fixed and new features do not introduce any issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to analyze and troubleshoot complex software defects and provide detailed reports on identified issues.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to release, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Utilize various testing techniques and methodologies to identify and prevent potential issues throughout the development process.
- Develop and maintain test scripts and test data for automated testing using web/mobile automation tools like Selenium and Appium.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to software quality assurance and testing methodologies.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Software Tester or Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and bug life cycle.
- Thorough knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with verification and validation methods and techniques.
- Proficiency in API testing, with experience using tools such as Postman and SoapUI (additional advantage).
- Working knowledge of web/mobile automation tools such as Selenium and Appium (plus).
- ISTQB/CSTE certification is a plus.
- Experience in the Building Technology domain will be an added advantage.
Working Conditions:
- This is a remote position with work timings aligned to the US-Canada time zones.
- Night shifts are required, with a six-day workweek, including Saturdays and Sundays.
