Position: Quality Analyst

Location: Mohali, India

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct manual testing of software applications to identify and document defects, ensuring that they are resolved before product release.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Execute test cases and record test results to verify the functionality, usability, performance, and security of software applications.
  • Identify and report defects, track their resolution progress, and perform regression testing to ensure the stability of the software.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to provide input on testability, usability, and quality considerations.
  • Utilize various testing tools to enhance the testing process and improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the quality assurance process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure a smooth and efficient software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting effective solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to address queries, provide status updates, and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, adhering to established bug writing guidelines and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Analyst or similar role, with 1-2 years of experience in manual testing.
  • Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of testing tools and frameworks, including defect tracking systems, test management tools, and test automation frameworks.
  • Clear understanding of Java concepts and ability to write and execute Java-based test scripts.
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking skills to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot software defects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with any automation tool, such as Selenium or Appium, will be considered an added advantage.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • ISTQB or any other relevant certification will be a plus.
