Position: QA Tester
Location: Pune
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications to gain a thorough understanding of software requirements.
- Collaborate with the development team to develop effective testing strategies and test plans.
- Execute test cases, both manual and automated, to ensure the software meets specified requirements.
- Analyze test results and evaluate product code against established specifications.
- Create detailed logs and documentation to track testing phases, defects, and their resolutions.
- Report bugs and errors to the development teams and provide them with comprehensive information.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues and working closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes.
- Ensure that quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and best practices.
Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors effectively.
- Working knowledge of SQL to perform database testing and validation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring thorough testing coverage.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude to identify and resolve issues.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple testing tasks and prioritize effectively.
Good to Have:
- Experience with automation testing using industry-standard tools.
- Experience with API testing to validate application interfaces.
- Experience with mobile testing across different platforms.
- Additional certifications related to quality assurance or testing.
