Position: QA Manual Tester

Location: SIPCOT IT Park, Chennai, TN

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced QA Manual Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in manual testing and possess strong communication skills. As a QA Manual Tester, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining software test plans, analyzing test results, and ensuring the quality standards of our company’s products. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in any field, and experience in automation testing is considered a plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Debug non-complex software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
  2. Develop and execute software test plans to identify bugs, defects, and issues in the software.
  3. Analyze and write test standards and procedures to ensure effective and efficient testing processes.
  4. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  5. Analyze test results to ensure the existing functionality of the software and recommend corrective actions if needed.
  6. Collaborate with development engineers to resolve problems and improve the quality of the software.
  7. Assist in designing, coding, and executing automated test scripts to enhance the efficiency of the testing process (automation background is a good-to-have).
  8. Document and track product testing problems, ensuring thorough reporting and resolution.
  9. Maintain automated scripts and the department’s online library to ensure the availability and accuracy of testing resources.
  10. Provide functional and test process consulting, if required.
  11. Attend status meetings and provide oral and written reports on the progress and findings of the testing process.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 7+ years of experience in manual testing, preferably in a software development environment.
  2. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  4. Proficient in developing and executing software test plans.
  5. Knowledge of test standards and procedures.
  6. Familiarity with documenting test results and assisting in debugging and modification of software.
  7. Ability to analyze test results and recommend corrective actions.
  8. Experience in automation testing is a plus.
  9. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  10. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  11. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  12. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
