Position: QA Manual Tester
Location: SIPCOT IT Park, Chennai, TN
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced QA Manual Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in manual testing and possess strong communication skills. As a QA Manual Tester, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining software test plans, analyzing test results, and ensuring the quality standards of our company’s products. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in any field, and experience in automation testing is considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Debug non-complex software products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
- Develop and execute software test plans to identify bugs, defects, and issues in the software.
- Analyze and write test standards and procedures to ensure effective and efficient testing processes.
- Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyze test results to ensure the existing functionality of the software and recommend corrective actions if needed.
- Collaborate with development engineers to resolve problems and improve the quality of the software.
- Assist in designing, coding, and executing automated test scripts to enhance the efficiency of the testing process (automation background is a good-to-have).
- Document and track product testing problems, ensuring thorough reporting and resolution.
- Maintain automated scripts and the department’s online library to ensure the availability and accuracy of testing resources.
- Provide functional and test process consulting, if required.
- Attend status meetings and provide oral and written reports on the progress and findings of the testing process.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in manual testing, preferably in a software development environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Proficient in developing and executing software test plans.
- Knowledge of test standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with documenting test results and assisting in debugging and modification of software.
- Ability to analyze test results and recommend corrective actions.
- Experience in automation testing is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
