Position: QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)
Location: Bengaluru, India
CrewMate.ai, a leading technology company based in Bengaluru, is seeking a skilled and experienced QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) to join our dynamic team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through a combination of manual and automated testing techniques. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 to 12 months.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and define test strategies and plans.
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify and report defects, ensuring that all issues are properly documented, tracked, and resolved.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
- Execute automated tests as part of the testing process, including new feature releases, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis of defects and work closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolution.
- Continuously identify areas for improvement in the QA process, tools, and methodologies, and actively contribute to their enhancement.
- Collaborate with the QA team to establish and maintain testing environments, test data, and test infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in manual and automated testing practices.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Strong experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of web and mobile application testing techniques and best practices.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools, such as JIRA or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- ISTQB certification or relevant software testing certifications will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD practices is preferred.
