Job Summary: As a Sr. QA Engineer / Manual Tester at Paytm, you will be responsible for verifying the functionality and performance of our applications and services. You will work closely with development teams, understand project requirements, and design and execute test cases to validate both functional and non-functional aspects of our software. Your expertise in manual testing, coupled with your understanding of automation testing, will help ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for various features and functionalities, ensuring complete coverage.
- Perform manual testing to evaluate the functionality, performance, usability, and compatibility of applications across different platforms.
- Conduct functional testing to validate that software meets defined requirements and user expectations.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new enhancements and updates do not adversely affect existing features.
- Identify, document, and prioritize defects and issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and isolate issues, and verify that fixes are implemented correctly.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of testing strategies, processes, and documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing methodologies and efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software quality assurance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in QA engineering or manual testing roles is required.
- Managerial experience with 8+ years of experience for the manager position.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
- Knowledge of automation testing concepts and tools is a plus.
- Experience with functional and regression testing.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
