Position: QA + Dev
Nutanix, a global leader in cloud software and hyper-converged infrastructure solutions, is seeking talented individuals to join our team for the role of QA + Dev. This role involves contributing to the overall architecture, design, and implementation of the next-generation distributed database layer. As a QA + Dev at Nutanix, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products while actively participating in the development process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems and their architecture.
- Design high-level test approaches and implement detailed test plans based on project requirements to deliver high-quality products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and architects, to ensure efficient and effective testing of the distributed database layer.
- Automate tests and execute them as part of new feature delivery, enabling automated regression runs to ensure continuous quality.
- Conduct thorough testing, including functional, performance, scalability, and reliability testing.
- Identify, report, and track software defects, ensuring that they are properly documented and resolved.
- Work closely with development teams to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues, providing detailed reports on identified problems.
- Continuously improve and optimize the testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++ is preferred.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and quality assurance principles.
- Experience in testing complex distributed systems or databases is highly desirable.
- 1 to 6 years of relevant experience in software testing and development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- A self-motivated individual who takes ownership of tasks and demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes is a plus.
