Position: QA Automation Tester (Manual/Data)

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced QA Automation Tester (Manual/Data) to join our team for an immediate hiring opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various types of testing, including manual and automation testing, to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. This is a remote position with a duration of 2 months.
Responsibilities:
- Perform smoke testing, regression testing, black box testing, white box testing, and manual and automation testing.
- Utilize advanced-level SQL queries and PL SQL programs to perform data analysis and validation.
- Apply knowledge of Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering Methodologies to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures, including test plans and test cases.
- Review and interpret business requirements and design specifications, translating them into test procedures.
- Understand and follow the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Take a self-motivated, organized, thorough, and efficient approach to work.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Java/J2EE for test automation.
- Familiarity with the Cucumber framework for behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries and work with PL SQL programs for data testing and verification.
- Experience in testing web applications and understanding of Cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) concepts.
- Proficiency in generating SQL queries and using other data interrogation methods.
- Experience in developing web application testing automation using Java and Selenium, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with database queries and the ability to create input data and verify data updates.
- Experience in ADA planning and testing would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Informatica and Change Data Capture (CDC) planning and testing is desirable.
- Understanding of Microsoft, Java, and n-tier web technologies.
- Familiarity with current web technologies and testing of web applications.
- Experience in functional testing, performance testing, and load and stress testing.
- Skill with Mainframe application testing using COBOL, JCL, CICS, as well as experience with Informatica and Mulesoft, is a plus.
- Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry and general compliance and enforcement-related projects would be beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
