Position: Mobile Testing Engineer
Location: Gurgaon
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications.
- Conduct manual and automated testing on mobile devices, ensuring the functionality, usability, and performance of the applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to understand requirements and provide testing insights.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that changes and enhancements do not impact existing functionalities.
- Utilize mobile testing frameworks and tools like Appium and Selenium to automate test cases and improve testing efficiency.
- Identify and report defects and issues using bug tracking tools, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential usability and performance issues.
- Continuously update testing processes and strategies to align with industry best practices.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide feedback from a testing perspective.
- Collaborate with the QA team to establish and maintain quality standards across mobile applications.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in mobile testing techniques and tools.
Requirements:
- 2-8 years of experience in mobile testing.
- Strong expertise in mobile testing methodologies and techniques.
- Proficiency in using mobile testing tools like Appium and Selenium.
- Solid understanding of mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and their respective testing challenges.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Java for test automation.
- Experience in manual testing of mobile applications, including functional, usability, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools and experience in defect reporting and tracking.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and isolate defects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
