Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Manual Tester with 2-3 years of experience to join our quality assurance team. As a Manual Tester at TrackDfect, you will be responsible for thoroughly assessing the functionality and performance of our software applications to identify and report defects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manual Testing: Conduct comprehensive manual testing of software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. Perform thorough testing of user interfaces, functionality, usability, and performance.
  2. Test Case Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business analysts, to create detailed and effective test cases that cover various scenarios and use cases.
  3. Defect Identification and Reporting: Accurately document and report defects, issues, and anomalies identified during testing. Work closely with the development team to ensure clear communication and understanding of the reported issues.
  4. Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to validate that software enhancements and fixes have been successfully implemented without introducing new defects.
  5. Quality Assurance Standards: Adhere to established quality assurance standards and processes to ensure consistent and reliable testing practices across projects.
  6. Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized documentation of test cases, test results, and testing procedures.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the overall improvement of product quality.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in manual testing methodologies and techniques. Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA team.
  9. Test Environment Setup: Set up and configure testing environments to replicate various real-world scenarios and ensure accurate testing results.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in manual testing of software applications.
  2. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and techniques.
    • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
    • Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systems.
  4. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects accurately.
  5. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to systematically assess software functionality and identify potential issues.
  6. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document test cases and results.
  7. Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contribute to the success of the QA team and the overall project.
