Position: Manual Tester ( Freshers )
Location: Mumbai
Position Overview: AlfaLabs Technologies, a leading software development company based in Mumbai, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Manual Tester. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher to kickstart their career in software testing and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Test Execution: Execute manual tests to identify defects and ensure that software applications meet quality standards. This includes performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Defect Reporting: Clearly document and report defects using appropriate bug tracking tools. Provide detailed information to assist developers in understanding and resolving issues.
- Test Documentation: Create and maintain test artifacts such as test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports to ensure traceability and consistency.
- Test Environment Setup: Assist in setting up and configuring test environments and test data to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Test Strategy Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of the overall testing strategy and processes by providing suggestions and implementing best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and smooth project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including peer reviews and walkthroughs, to maintain and enhance the overall quality of the software.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow test plans and specifications.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate test results and collaborate with team members.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages, such as Java or C++, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools, such as JIRA, and test management tools, such as TestRail, is a plus.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new technologies and testing methodologies.

- This is a full-time position based in Mumbai. Mumbai-based candidates will be given preference.
