- BI Report Testing:
- Conduct thorough testing of Business Intelligence (BI) reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to requirements.
- Validate data quality, data integrity, and visual representations within BI reports.
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts specifically tailored for BI applications.
- Verify that the BI reports meet business requirements and technical specifications.
- Defect Identification and Reporting:
- Identify and document defects, issues, and deviations from expected results in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with development and analytics teams to facilitate timely issue resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and project managers to address issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in requirement analysis and review meetings, providing valuable insights for improving testing processes and product quality.
- Testing Strategy Enhancement:
- Contribute to the enhancement of testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices within the QA team.
- Advocate for quality assurance excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing, with a strong focus on BI Report Testing.
- Proficiency in designing test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of BI concepts, data visualization, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Cognos, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation and querying from relational databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, systematically identifying and isolating issues.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.) are a plus.
- Experience in Power BI testing with Power BI coding expertise.
- Experience in creating Data Quality Dashboards using Power BI.
