Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct manual testing of software applications to ensure their functionality, reliability, and adherence to specifications.
- Create and execute test cases based on the project requirements and test objectives.
- Identify, document, and track defects in the defect tracking system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
- Work closely with the development team to provide feedback on software quality and suggest improvements.
- Participate in test planning and test strategy discussions to define effective testing approaches.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been fixed and do not reoccur.
- Generate test reports and communicate test results to the project stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, testing methodologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall testing process.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in manual testing.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques, methodologies, and processes.
- Experience in creating test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques is a plus.
