Position: Manual Test Engineer (Life/General Insurance)
Location: Mumbai (Ghatkopar)
Qualification: Graduate
Notice Period Required: Immediate to 30 days only
Interview Process: 2 technical rounds + HR round
Skills Required:
- In-depth understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
- Ability to prepare scenarios and derive test cases from them
- Proactive in test case execution, defect discussion, defect logging, risk identification, and mitigation
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries
- Hands-on experience with Test Management tools (e.g., Quality Center) and Defect Management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Knowledge of databases and the ability to run basic SQL queries
- Familiarity with the Life Insurance Domain or General Insurance Domain
Job Responsibilities:
As a Manual Test Engineer specializing in Life/General Insurance, you will be responsible for the following:
- Understand the project requirements and specifications related to Life/General Insurance.
- Prepare detailed test scenarios based on the understanding of business processes.
- Derive test cases from the test scenarios and ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Execute test cases and document the test results, including defects, in a structured manner.
- Discuss defects and issues with the development team for resolution.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the testing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of the software.
- Write SQL queries to validate data and perform database testing.
- Utilize Test Management tools (e.g., Quality Center) to organize and track test cases and test results.
- Utilize Defect Management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) to log and track defects.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing process.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in software testing.
