Position: Specialist – IT Quality Assurance

Job Description

Qualification and Skills

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or have relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of financial/insurance domain; reinsurance domain knowledge is a plus
At least 8 years of relevant experience as a QA Analyst/Engineer with experience in manual and automation testing
5+ years of experience in translating requirements to test cases in a test case management tool preferably Azure DevOps.
3+ years of experience in UI testing of cloud-based applications and cross browser issues.
3+ years of experience in database testing. Ability to write SQL queries with JOINS for different databases preferably MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres etc.
5+ years of experience in running and troubleshooting automation scripts in Selenium and analyzing generated reports to identify possible defects.
3+ years of experience in testing SQL Server DB, REST APIs, preferred.

Working as lead and coordinate with the development, BA, business users, and Project Managers in gathering requirements and project planning
Working with all the stakeholders to plan the feature releases
Understand the technical architecture of different applications and integration workflows
Assist in refining user story’s acceptance criteria and translate the same to test requirements
Contribute to test planning activities, including developing documentation and estimating testing needs and time-frames
Design test approach, test scenarios, create and execute test cases, and record test results in a test management system
Identify and create test data and maintain test environments
Create defects with detailed and concise steps and assist team members with defect reproduction, severity and impact assessment
Analyze and convert user stories to test scenarios/cases and execute test cases
Validate all projects requirements and document all QA artifacts
Preparing SQL scripts for database validations
Collaborate closely with other team members and provide periodic testing updates with senior management
Working experience in an agile environment and proactive in contributing to agile ceremonies
Should be aware of insurance domain functions/knowledge; reinsurance knowledge is a plus
Participate in continual improvement of the tools and processes involved in the software development process
