A Quality Engineer on our team will develop and drive strategies and implementation of Software Quality Engineering best practices; Assess and define automation approaches, frameworks and tools appropriate for the product sets; Provide guidance, mentorship and training for other team members; Work with other team members in driving quality goals and initiatives; Communicate with management team on quality initiatives, strategies and results;
We are looking for an experienced QA who understands when to execute a SQL trace to capture stored procedure execution/duration and read/writes; Ensures highly complex testing on projects utilizing Practice Area guidelines such as, understanding API/Web Services testing and understanding when to write test harnesses using web services technologies and is able to disseminate this information to team members.
Responsibilities For This Job Include
- The role executes manual and automated test cases, as well as performs back end data validation.
- Tracks test progress and results in test management tools like Jira, Quality Center, or similar tools.
- Identifies opportunities, then leads the roll out of inventive tech ideas and implements solutions with other projects teams, the SQE department, as well as other departments.
- Other duties as assigned – Implement, track, and report key metrics to assure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements
- Hands-on involvement in all phases of product development, including planning, design, implementation, and execution of automated tests, defect logging and verification, and reporting results
- Participate in problem diagnosis, triage and prioritization, qualification of fixes, and root cause analysis
Qualifications
- Experienced with engineering MVC, MVP, and MVVM Client side JavaScript frameworks such as Angular
- Experience or knowledge of: HTML; XML; Java; JavaScript; SQL/TSQL, stored procedures, DB Tracing, DB profiling/SQL Profiler, impact analysis, DB sharding; AJAX, JSON, XPath, NoSQL
- Will have a deep understanding, experience in debugging, and use of APIs in distributed systems, and Web Services (SOAP, REST)
- 2+ years’ experience implementing, and executing automated test frameworks (HP LoadRunner, QuickTest Pro, Selenium)
- We cannot accept corp to corp contractors for this role, but we can do GC W2.
Contract Length: 6 Months to start, ongoing 6-month renewals to coincide with project planning cycles + FTE options for applicable candidates.
Onsite is required. No remotes.
