What will you be doing?

The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for the architecture of Allied’s automation framework. This role will also be responsible to mentor other automation engineers and implement best practices for QA department. In addition, the senior automation engineer will take ownership of QA standards and automate existing manual QA processes.

Essential Functions

  • Work in an agile environment
  • Contribute to success of project by completing daily scrum tasks
  • Create/review and maintain automation test scripts
  • Create CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops
  • Take ownership of Automation setup, Smoke testing and Regression testing
  • Mentor and grow automation engineers
  • Work closely with developers to build out automation tests
  • Meet Allied’s expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
  • Work closely with manager to complete assigned tasks
  • Adhere to, and apply all applicable privacy and security laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH and any regulations promulgated thereto.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
  • Attend continuing education classes as required, including but not limited to HIPAA training.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 4 to 7 years’ experience developing automation tests for Microsoft’s platform
  • Extensive experience writing automation tests using the following:
  • Selenium WebDriver
  • Postman
  • GIT or Jenkins
  • Testing experience in Web Services/API endpoints
  • SQL and scripting
  • Katalon
  • Thorough understanding of data requirements, ability to mock test data
  • Design and develop automation testing architecture
  • Strong understanding of SOLID and OOP
  • Mentor other automation engineers
  • Understanding of SDLC lifecycle
  • Coding experience in Microsoft tech stack, C#, .Net
  • Experience automating stored procedures
  • Excellent ability to debug and troubleshoot all areas of the technology stack
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with testing legacy systems like VB6 and classic ASP

EDUCATION

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, OR equivalent degree.

Physical Demands

This is an office environment requiring extended sitting and computer work.
