About the job

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Kubernetes and Docker to support our applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable software solutions
• Write high-quality code in Python and Go to ensure the performance, security, and maintainability of our applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to microservices and containers
• Develop and enhance features over DNS/DHCP protocols
• Interact with Product Management, QA, and Support for the best end-to-end customer experience
• Performance tuning, scalability, and optimization
• Coordinate with development teams for release planning
• Improve scalability and manageability of the Core DDI product line and for distributed virtualized environments
• Design and develop algorithms to solve complex application problems, system administration, and other network concerns
• Work with Engineering and Customer Technical Support to diagnose and resolve challenging field issues

What you’ll bring:

• Solid understanding of network protocols, API design, and best practices
• Excellent programming skills in Python and Go, plus solid debugging and problem-solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and container orchestration tools like Docker Compose
• Hands-on experience with networking protocols, such as DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux internals, C, shell scripting, and algorithms
• A willingness to work on customer escalations and NIOS platform enhancements
• A great attitude and willingness to be a good team player
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or equivalent is required
• Any relevant certifications, such as Kubernetes Certified Administrator, are a plus

• Work toward becoming a subject matter expert in your domain
• Be able to execute RFEs independently
