Position: Senior Software Engineer

About the job

What you’ll do:

Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Kubernetes and Docker to support our applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable software solutions
Write high-quality code in Python and Go to ensure the performance, security, and maintainability of our applications
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to microservices and containers
Develop and enhance features over DNS/DHCP protocols
Interact with Product Management, QA, and Support for the best end-to-end customer experience
Performance tuning, scalability, and optimization
Coordinate with development teams for release planning
Improve scalability and manageability of the Core DDI product line and for distributed virtualized environments
Design and develop algorithms to solve complex application problems, system administration, and other network concerns
Work with Engineering and Customer Technical Support to diagnose and resolve challenging field issues

What you’ll bring:

Solid understanding of network protocols, API design, and best practices
Excellent programming skills in Python and Go, plus solid debugging and problem-solving skills
In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration with Kubernetes
Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and container orchestration tools like Docker Compose
Hands-on experience with networking protocols, such as DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF
Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux internals, C, shell scripting, and algorithms
A willingness to work on customer escalations and NIOS platform enhancements
A great attitude and willingness to be a good team player
Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or equivalent is required
Any relevant certifications, such as Kubernetes Certified Administrator, are a plus
