Job Summary: As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance team and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project managers, to implement quality assurance best practices and strategies. Your role will involve developing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting issues, and providing leadership and guidance to the QA team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
• Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure effective testing and product quality.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability, usability, and overall quality.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and work closely with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, including test results, test coverage, and overall product quality metrics.
• Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies, incorporating industry best practices and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to ensure the professional development of the QA team members.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of software releases, ensuring that all quality requirements are met before product deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate quality-related updates, risks, and recommendations to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance, including at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role.
• In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including test planning, test case development, and defect tracking.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide team members to achieve common goals.
• Proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
