Position: Python Automation Engineer
Location: Ahmedabad
PrimeQA Solutions is a leading software testing company that specializes in providing high-quality testing solutions to clients worldwide. We are currently seeking a skilled Python Automation Engineer to join our team in Ahmedabad. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automated test scripts and frameworks using Python programming language. You will work closely with our development and QA teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python programming language.
- Collaborate with the development and QA teams to understand software requirements and design effective test automation strategies.
- Execute and analyze test results, identify and report software defects.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and libraries such as Selenium, PyTest, and Robot Framework.
- Participate in the Agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Work with version control systems like Git and SVN to manage source code and track changes.
- Troubleshoot and debug test automation scripts and framework issues to ensure smooth execution.
- Continuously improve test automation processes and frameworks to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate test automation into the continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of professional experience as a Python Automation Engineer or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and scripting.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, PyTest, and Robot Framework.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
- Knowledge of software testing principles and techniques.
- Good understanding of version control systems like Git and SVN.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with Selenium/Appium for web and mobile automation.
- Basic experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
