Job Overview:

As a Tester you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, writing comprehensive test cases, and conducting manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software QA methodologies, hands-on experience in both white box and black box testing, and proficiency in API and database testing. Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strong Knowledge of Software QA Methodologies, Tools, and Processes:
    • Utilize your expertise in software testing methodologies to design effective test plans and strategies.
    • Familiarity with QA tools and processes to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  2. Test Planning and Test Case Creation:
    • Write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and user scenarios.
    • Ensure test cases cover all functional aspects of the software application.
  3. Hands-On Experience with White Box and Black Box Testing:
    • Perform both white box and black box testing to identify defects and verify software functionality.
    • Collaborate with developers to understand the application architecture for efficient testing.
  4. Hands-On Experience with Automated Testing Tools:
    • Use automated testing tools to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts.
    • Automate repetitive test cases to increase testing efficiency.
  5. Experience Working in an Agile, API, Database Environment:
    • Collaborate with the development team in an Agile environment to ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Conduct API testing to validate the functionality and performance of backend services.
    • Perform database testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  6. Prepare and Monitor the QA Test Suite:
    • Build and maintain a comprehensive test suite to cover various aspects of software functionality.
    • Regularly update and expand the test suite as new features and enhancements are introduced.
  7. QA Test Releases and Bug Fixes:
    • QA test software releases from development to ensure compliance with customer standards and specifications.
    • Interact with the development team to test bug fixes and verify their successful implementation.
  8. Overall Quality Control of QA Work:
    • Conduct thorough quality control of all testing activities and deliverables.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in manual testing techniques and test case creation.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is essential.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
