Position: Test Engineer

Location: Pune, India

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze test scenarios for given software requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Design and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate the functionality and performance of software applications.
  • Utilize core Java programming skills using Eclipse or any equivalent IDE to develop automated test scripts.
  • Employ automated testing tools such as RFT, Ranorex, Selenium WebDriver/Appium, or Coded UI to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software defects, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of failed tests and provide accurate and detailed bug reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure alignment on testing objectives and requirements.
  • Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test strategy formulation.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting process enhancements and automation opportunities.
  • Maintain documentation of test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience as a Test Engineer, with a focus on software testing.
  • Strong experience in identifying test scenarios for given software requirements.
  • Proficiency in core Java programming using Eclipse or any equivalent IDE.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one automated testing tool such as RFT, Ranorex, Selenium WebDriver/Appium, or Coded UI.
  • Good troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • ISTQB certification or any relevant testing certification is a plus.
