Position: Test Engineer
Location: Pune, India
Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze test scenarios for given software requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Design and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate the functionality and performance of software applications.
- Utilize core Java programming skills using Eclipse or any equivalent IDE to develop automated test scripts.
- Employ automated testing tools such as RFT, Ranorex, Selenium WebDriver/Appium, or Coded UI to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and debug software defects, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis of failed tests and provide accurate and detailed bug reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure alignment on testing objectives and requirements.
- Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test strategy formulation.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting process enhancements and automation opportunities.
- Maintain documentation of test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of experience as a Test Engineer, with a focus on software testing.
- Strong experience in identifying test scenarios for given software requirements.
- Proficiency in core Java programming using Eclipse or any equivalent IDE.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automated testing tool such as RFT, Ranorex, Selenium WebDriver/Appium, or Coded UI.
- Good troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- ISTQB certification or any relevant testing certification is a plus.
