Position: Telecom Tester
Locations: Chennai, Hyderabad
AT&T, a leading global telecommunications company, is seeking a skilled Telecom Tester to join our team in either Chennai or Hyderabad. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong telecom background and experience in order management, billing (BSS), and API testing to contribute to our cutting-edge projects and ensure the delivery of high-quality telecom solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing activities in the telecom domain, including functional, regression, and integration testing, to validate the functionality and performance of telecom systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand telecom requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
- Conduct testing activities related to order management and billing (BSS) systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to defined standards.
- Design and execute test cases for telecom systems and applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and identifying defects, bugs, and inconsistencies.
- Perform API testing to validate the functionality, performance, and security of telecom APIs.
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test strategy discussions specific to the telecom domain.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in telecom testing.
- Provide accurate and timely test reports, including test execution status, defect reports, and overall project quality metrics.
- Stay updated with the latest telecom industry trends and technologies to bring innovative testing approaches and solutions.
Requirements:
- 2-8 years of experience in telecom testing or a related field.
- Strong telecom background with knowledge of telecommunication systems, protocols, and processes.
- Experience in order management and billing (BSS) testing, including validation of telecom business workflows.
- Proficiency in functional, regression, and integration testing methodologies in the telecom domain.
- Knowledge of API testing and experience with testing telecom APIs.
- Familiarity with telecom-specific tools and technologies used in testing.
- Good understanding of defect tracking tools and processes in a telecom environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Flexibility to work in either Chennai or Hyderabad based on project requirements.
