Position: Software Testers

Location: Gurgaon

NTT DATA, a leading global IT services provider, is currently seeking skilled and motivated Software Testers to join our dynamic team in Gurgaon. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through various testing methodologies. If you have experience in manual testing, performance testing, GUI testing, SQL queries, API testing, and a background in the insurance domain, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity with us.

Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand software requirements and assist in creating comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  2. Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
  3. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the responsiveness and stability of applications under various load conditions.
  4. GUI Testing: Verify the graphical user interface (GUI) of applications to ensure consistency, responsiveness, and user-friendliness.
  5. API Testing: Perform API testing to validate the functionality and data integrity of APIs used in the application.
  6. Database Testing: Write and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy and consistency in the backend databases.
  7. Defect Reporting: Document and report software defects using appropriate bug tracking tools, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  8. Test Documentation: Maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test results, and test procedures.
  9. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  10. Insurance Domain Knowledge: Utilize your expertise in the insurance domain to validate that software solutions meet industry-specific requirements and regulations.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the testing practices within the organization.
  12. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements.

Mandatory Skills:

  1. Manual Testing: Proven experience in manual software testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect reporting.
  2. Performance Testing: Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques to assess application responsiveness and stability.
  3. GUI Testing: Strong understanding of GUI testing principles and the ability to ensure consistent user experiences.
  4. SQL Queries: Proficiency in writing SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity in databases.
  5. API Testing: Experience in testing APIs for functionality and data consistency.
  6. Insurance Domain Knowledge: Previous experience or knowledge in the insurance domain is mandatory to understand and validate industry-specific requirements.
  7. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot software issues effectively.
  8. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate test results and collaborate with team members.
  9. Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in executing test cases and documenting test results accurately.
  10. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
