Position: Software Tester

Job Summary: As a Software Tester at Sagality India, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze, design, and maintain test cases, approaches, and plans for various software projects. You will be responsible for facilitating automated testing at different levels, including unit, functional, integration, and system testing. You will work closely with the scrum team to thoroughly test and certify each sprint’s work as production-ready. Additionally, you will maintain metrics around defects and provide support for previously released features. Your expertise in Manual and Automation Testing, along with familiarity with .Net applications, SQL Server, and Webservices, will contribute to the success of our projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Analyze, design, and maintain test cases, test approaches, and test plans for software projects.
2. Facilitate the implementation of automated testing at the unit, functional, integration, and system testing levels.
3. Ensure that all work for the scrum team for each sprint is thoroughly tested and certified as production-ready by the end of each sprint.
4. Maintain metrics related to defects and provide a first line of triage for supporting previously released features.
5. Support continuous improvement of testing processes and protocols to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Conduct Manual and Automation Testing to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.
7. Utilize Selenium or UFT to automate testing of .Net applications.
8. Perform API manual testing using Swagger and API Automation testing using Postman tool (using JavaScript).
9. Familiarity with development environments using .Net, SQL Server, and Webservices to ensure seamless integration of testing efforts.
10. Experience in DB testing is mandatory to validate data integrity and interactions with the database.
11. Continuously explore, understand, and drive the usage of the latest technologies that can extend testing capabilities.
12. Employ and contribute to the continuous improvement of SDLC methodology, adhering to best practices.
13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Software Testing, with at least 3+ years of experience in Selenium or UFT on .Net applications.
3. Expertise in Manual and Automation Testing to validate software functionalities and identify defects.
4. Strong experience in API manual testing using Swagger and API Automation testing using Postman tool (using JavaScript).
5. Familiarity with development environments using .Net, SQL Server, and Webservices for integration testing.
6. Experience in DB testing to ensure data integrity and interactions with the database.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
9. Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to take ownership of testing tasks.
10. Continuous learner with a passion for exploring and adopting new technologies to improve testing processes.
