As a Software Tester at Omniscient, you will be a critical part of our quality assurance team, responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our software products. Your role will encompass a range of testing activities, including manual testing, test case design, automation testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Manual Testing: Leverage your expertise in manual testing to create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Identify, document, and track defects to ensure the quality of our software.
- Automation Testing: Use automation testing tools and frameworks to develop and maintain automated test suites. Streamline testing processes and increase efficiency through automation.
- ISTQB Certification (Preferred): If you hold ISTQB certification, it is a significant plus, showcasing your commitment to best practices in software testing.
- Test Case Design: Collaborate with development teams to design effective and thorough test cases that cover functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Defect Management: Take ownership of defect management by identifying, documenting, and tracking issues throughout the testing cycle. Work closely with developers to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that software changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Test Reporting: Prepare detailed test reports, including test results, test coverage, and defect status. Communicate test progress and findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices. Continuously improve your testing skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of Experience: You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
- ISTQB Certification (Preferred): While not mandatory, ISTQB certification is preferred and demonstrates your commitment to industry-recognized testing practices.
- Manual and Automation Skills: Strong proficiency in manual testing is essential, and experience with automation testing tools and frameworks is highly valued.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to meticulously review software for defects and issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
