Position: : Senior Manual Tester (Life Insurance Domain)

Location: Gurugram/Bangalore

Greetings from Test Yantra Software Solutions! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manual Tester with expertise in the Life Insurance domain to join our team. As a Senior Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions, with a focus on Policy Servicing modules. This position is available in both Gurugram and Bangalore locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct manual testing activities for software applications within the Life Insurance domain, primarily focusing on Policy Servicing modules.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Policy Servicing functionalities and processes, including but not limited to Renewal, Lapsation, Reinstatement, Surrender Processing, Bonus, Unclaimed, Survival Benefits, Fund Switch, Policy Loan Processing, Premium Redirection, Partial Withdrawal, Discontinuance, and Death/Maturity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, develop test scenarios, and design test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Execute test cases and record test results accurately, identifying and documenting defects using appropriate defect tracking tools.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to reproduce and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed bug reports for efficient resolution.
  • Perform database testing to validate the accuracy and integrity of data in the Life Insurance domain.
  • Utilize domain expertise to contribute to the refinement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in the Life Insurance domain, ensuring the application of relevant knowledge in testing activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers, sharing your expertise and knowledge of Life Insurance domain testing.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, actively participating in meetings, discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 8 years of experience as a Manual Tester, with expertise in the Life Insurance domain.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Policy Servicing functionalities within the Life Insurance domain.
  • Familiarity with Policy Servicing modules, including Renewal, Lapsation, Reinstatement, Surrender Processing, Bonus, Unclaimed, Survival Benefits, Fund Switch, Policy Loan Processing, Premium Redirection, Partial Withdrawal, Discontinuance, and Death/Maturity.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools for logging and tracking software defects.
  • Solid knowledge of database concepts and experience with database testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work well within a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
