Position: HIL Testing Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HIL Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the testing life cycle and hands-on experience in performing software testing or related functions. The candidate must have expertise in requirement analysis, test case writing, test script writing, and test execution in a HIL testing environment. Proficiency in dSPACE HIL automation desk, control, and configuration desk is essential. Knowledge of CAN, UDS, and Ethernet protocols is required. The candidate must have experience in HIL testing for automotive ECUs such as BMS, Infotainment, Connected, OTA, ADAS, and BCM. Additionally, experience in Python scripting and familiarity with functional safety standards like ISO26262 is highly desirable. Knowledge of vector tool chain CANoe and Vtest studio will be considered an added bonus. The candidate should also have experience in the automotive domain.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirement analysis to understand system functionality and define test objectives.
- Write test cases and test scripts for HIL testing based on system requirements.
- Execute test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and issues.
- Utilize dSPACE HIL automation desk, control, and configuration desk to perform HIL testing.
- Work with automotive ECUs such as BMS, Infotainment, Connected, OTA, ADAS, and BCM in the HIL testing environment.
- Use CAN, UDS, and Ethernet protocols for communication and testing purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and system engineers, to resolve issues and ensure product quality.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate testing procedures and enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry standards and best practices related to functional safety (ISO26262) and apply them in the testing process.
- Familiarity with vector tool chain tools like CANoe and Vtest studio is preferred.
- Apply knowledge and expertise in the automotive domain to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
Requirements:
- 4 to 8 years of experience in HIL testing or related functions.
- Knowledge of basic testing life cycle or experience in performing software testing.
- Strong experience in requirement analysis, test case writing, test script writing, and test execution in a HIL testing environment.
- Proficiency in dSPACE HIL automation desk, control, and configuration desk.
- Expertise in CAN, UDS, and Ethernet protocols.
- Experience in HIL testing for automotive ECUs such as BMS, Infotainment, Connected, OTA, ADAS, and BCM.
- Experience in Python scripting.
- Knowledge of functional safety standards like ISO26262 will be considered an added bonus.
- Experience with vector tool chain tools like CANoe and Vtest studio will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with the automotive domain.
