As a Senior Quality Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Windows desktop-based applications. You will be responsible for performing manual testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and effectively communicating testing findings and feedback. Your expertise in Help Authoring Tools, Azure DevOps, Selenium, and other scripting languages will be essential in enhancing our testing processes.
Job Duties:
- Manual Testing:
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing on Windows desktop-based applications.
- Thoroughly verify application functionalities and identify defects.
- Automation Testing:
- Utilize automation testing tools like Selenium to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Create and execute automation test scripts.
- Application Analysis:
- Work with applications that produce XML, HTML, and CSS content.
- Validate the accuracy and correctness of the produced content.
- Help Authoring Tools:
- Utilize Help Authoring Tools such as RoboHelp, Madcap Flare, HelpStudio, and FrameMaker to create user-friendly documentation.
- Azure DevOps:
- Collaborate with the development team using Azure DevOps for efficient issue tracking and project management.
- Scripting Languages:
- Use scripting languages, including JavaScript, to support automation and testing processes.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with Helpdesk systems like Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Jira.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and address related issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git, SVN, or TFS for source code management and collaboration with development teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify testing concerns and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 to 15 years of combined experience in manual and automation testing.
- Proficiency in testing Windows desktop-based applications.
- Knowledge of applications producing XML, HTML, and CSS content.
- Expertise in Help Authoring Tools (RoboHelp, Madcap Flare, HelpStudio, FrameMaker).
- Experience using Azure DevOps for issue tracking and project management.
- Familiarity with Selenium for automation testing.
- Good understanding of scripting languages like JavaScript.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
