Position Overview: As a Senior QA Engineer (Manual Testing) at Squareboat, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of our Android and iOS apps, as well as other web and mobile-based applications. Your expertise in manual testing will be pivotal in maintaining the high standard of our products, contributing to a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

Execute comprehensive manual testing of Android and iOS applications to validate functionality, identify defects, and ensure a flawless user experience.
Validate and verify complex APIs and applications that interact with database back-end systems, effectively reproducing, debugging, isolating, and verifying issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and application behavior, ensuring thorough test coverage.
Perform functional testing, system testing, and regression testing to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and defects, ensuring that applications meet quality standards.
Document and communicate defects clearly, providing detailed steps to reproduce and diagnose the issues.
Participate in test case creation, review, and enhancement processes to ensure complete and accurate test coverage.
Contribute to the maintenance of test environments, test data, and testing documentation.
Work closely with developers to provide necessary information for defect resolution and to ensure timely bug fixes.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance team members to share insights, knowledge, and best practices.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in manual testing methodologies.
Adhere to established testing processes and standards while promoting continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in software testing are a plus.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, specializing in manual testing.
Proven experience testing Android and iOS applications, with a strong understanding of mobile app testing nuances.
Familiarity with API testing, including testing complex APIs and interactions with database back-end systems.
Strong analytical skills to effectively debug and diagnose issues, ensuring accurate defect reporting.
Proficiency in functional testing, system testing, and regression testing methodologies.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to thoroughly validate application behavior.
Effective communication skills to articulate defects, issues, and testing results clearly.
Collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional development and QA teams.
Experience with test case creation, review, and enhancement processes.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
