Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for performing manual testing, API testing, and database testing to identify defects and ensure the overall performance and functionality of our applications. Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the development team to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Execute tests to identify defects and ensure the functionality and quality of software products.
- Manual Testing: Perform manual testing to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications. Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- API Testing: Conduct API testing to ensure the seamless integration and communication between various software components. Verify the accuracy, reliability, and security of API endpoints.
- Database Testing: Perform database testing to validate data integrity, data consistency, and data manipulation within the application. Write and execute SQL queries to verify the accuracy of data stored in the database.
- Test Automation: Collaborate with the automation team to identify and automate repetitive test scenarios. Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Defect Management: Track, document, and prioritize defects using a defect tracking system. Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues and retest fixes.
- Test Reporting: Prepare and present test reports, including test results, defects, and overall system quality. Provide recommendations for process improvements based on testing outcomes.
- Collaboration and Mentoring: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and project managers. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong focus on manual testing, API testing, and database testing.
- Manual Testing: Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies. Strong understanding of test planning, test case creation, and test execution.
- API Testing: Experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman or similar platforms. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and API testing frameworks.
- Database Testing: Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries. Experience in database testing, including data validation, data manipulation, and data integrity checks.
- Test Automation: Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium or similar technologies. Hands-on experience in developing and executing automated test scripts.
- Immediate Joiners: Ability to join the company immediately or with a short notice period.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.
