Quality Assurance Engineer | 2-8 Years

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Testing:

• Conduct thorough manual testing of applications to identify and document issues.
• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts, including test data and automated scripts.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other team members to understand system requirements and ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
• Execute test cases and analyze results to ensure the quality of the product.
• Report defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and provide detailed bug reports.
• Verify that fixes for defects and enhancements meet the requirements and do not introduce new issues.

Automation Testing:

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Selenium and Java.
• Maintain and enhance the existing automation framework.
• Write and maintain test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Continuously improve test automation practices and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in automation testing.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software updates.
• Analyze test results and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and recommend improvements to the team.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  • 2-8 years of experience in Manual Testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Automation Testing with Selenium and Java.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Java.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for test automation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
