Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing with automation capabilities. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our IT services and solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, track, and resolve issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing based on project requirements.
- Conduct API testing to validate the functionality and performance of APIs.
- Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
- Identify, report, and track software defects using established defect tracking systems.
- Participate in requirements and design reviews to ensure testability and quality.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance.
- Contribute to process improvements and the development of testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Provide timely and accurate status reports on testing progress, test coverage, and defect metrics.
Technology Skill Sets:
- Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
- Experience in API testing, including designing and executing test cases.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking systems and test management tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of retail or healthcare domains is a plus.
