Your primary responsibility will be to perform manual testing, write test cases, and execute test scenarios to validate software functionalities and identify defects. You will work closely with the development team and project stakeholders to ensure that our software solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. - Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects, bugs, and issues in the functionality, ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Collaborate with the development team and business analysts to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Execute test cases to verify the accuracy of the software’s functionalities and ensure that it meets the specified requirements.
- Document and prioritize defects and issues discovered during testing, and work closely with the development team to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC) processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
- Apply agile testing principles, actively participating in agile ceremonies, and providing valuable feedback to improve the overall product quality.
- Utilize Jira or similar project management tools to log, track, and manage testing activities and defects efficiently.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of boundary value analysis and equivalent partition testing techniques to enhance the thoroughness of test coverage.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
- Conduct smoke and sanity testing to validate the stability and readiness of the software for comprehensive testing.
- Analyze test results, prepare test summary reports, and provide valuable insights to stakeholders to aid in decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with the development and quality assurance teams to continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Proactively identify potential risks and suggest mitigating measures to ensure the success of testing efforts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in manual testing of software applications.
- Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts, with a keen eye for detail.
- Good understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC), and agile methodologies.
- Experience in using Jira or similar project management tools for test case management and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with boundary value analysis and equivalent partition testing techniques.
- Knowledge of regression testing, smoke testing, and sanity testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
