Position: Quality Analyst

Location: Mohali

SoftProdigy, a leading software development company, is seeking a talented Quality Analyst to join our team in Mohali. This is a great opportunity for individuals with 2-4 years of experience in manual and automation testing, specifically in mobile app testing, website testing, and API testing using Postman. As a Quality Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and automation testing to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
  • Conduct mobile app testing to validate the compatibility, responsiveness, and user experience across different devices and platforms.
  • Conduct website testing to ensure the functionality, responsiveness, and user-friendliness of web applications.
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate the integration and functionality of APIs.
  • Write test cases and scenarios based on project requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Conduct compatibility testing across different browsers, operating systems, and devices.
  • Design and execute performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to understand project requirements and ensure effective testing.
  • Identify and report defects, bugs, and inconsistencies in software applications, ensuring their timely resolution.
  • Participate in test planning and test strategy discussions, contributing your expertise to ensure high-quality testing.
  • Document test results, including defects, test execution status, and overall project quality metrics.
  • Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and best practices in the industry.
  • Collaborate with the development team to investigate and troubleshoot issues identified during testing.
  • Conduct design testing to validate the adherence to UI/UX guidelines and standards.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Quality Analyst, with a strong focus on manual and automation testing.
  • Proficiency in mobile app testing, including compatibility testing, responsiveness testing, and user experience validation.
  • Experience in website testing, ensuring functionality, responsiveness, and user-friendliness.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Ability to write test cases and scenarios based on project requirements.
  • Familiarity with compatibility testing across different browsers, operating systems, and devices.
  • Experience in performance testing, including load testing and stress testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with design testing to ensure adherence to UI/UX guidelines and standards.
  • Experience with test case management tools and defect tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
