Position: QA SDET (Automation + Functional Testing) Engineer

Location: Bangalore (Work From Office – WFO) Contract Role

Job Summary: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced QA SDET (Automation + Functional Testing) Engineers to join our team. This position is with a Product Based MNC located in Bangalore. The role involves a combination of automation and functional testing, with a focus on web and mobile applications. Experience with Appium, Java, Selenium WebDriver, API testing, and database testing (SQL) is essential for this role. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in similar roles. This is a contract role and the selected candidates will be required to work from the office (WFO) in Bangalore. Face-to-face interviews will be conducted at our office in Whitefield, Bangalore. Please note that only candidates based in Bangalore will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing of web and mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Develop and execute automation test scripts using Appium, Java, and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Conduct API testing, both functional and automated, to validate the integration and functionality of APIs.
  • Utilize database testing techniques and SQL queries to validate data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product owners, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in test planning, test design, and test execution activities.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and techniques to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in automation and functional testing, and apply them in daily work.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in web testing, mobile testing (Android and iOS), and web-mobile testing.
  • Proficiency in Appium testing framework for automating mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing, including functional and automated testing.
  • Expertise in Java programming language for test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.
  • Ability to perform database testing using SQL queries to validate data integrity.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools for defect management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
